I needed to have an estate plan drafted and contacted Brett. He was responsive returning my call and in communicating with me. He laid out a price for drafting the plan that was very reasonable. Brett detailed what I needed to provide to him to create and finalize my estate plan. I followed through on what was requested and within a week, start to finish, estate plan was completed. When picking up the plan, Brett thoroughly went through it with me, explained in detail, parts that I needed to do with title and bank paperwork. I would highly recommend contacting Brett for your legal needs.

Just had a quick conversation with Brett on his way out of town about my divorce situation. Although he is closing his family law practice he was very generous with giving me sound advice on weather or not to hire a lawyer for my case. He provided some steps I could take now and advice that I should have applied had I known during the beginning of the divorce. If you have friends and loved ones who ask you if you have made a will yet, I commiserate with you. My husband and I tried joking or pretending we didn’t hear the question. But one day it finally did click in. My husband and I were feeling like a big, scary weight was over our heads. We only stewed about a will for 30 more years But after a while we knew we needed to act like responsible adults and get a will. We asked several people we knew and we are so happy and grateful that we found Brett Gilman.
Brett gently guided us through the whole process. And in under a week we were very happy with his positivity and professionalism. Brett is very good at guiding through you need to know. He is straightforward and forthright. He smiles and laughs. He has the ability to rephrase things we weren’t quite sure about. To put it simply, he knows his stuff!
Finally, the most important two things we learned through the process are this:
1. You don’t make a will just for others. You do it for yourself as well.
2. The big fear of passing on is easier to deal with when you know that a lawyer like Brett Gilman will take care of things.

If I could give Mr. Gilman more than 5 stars I would. Gilman is friendly but to the point, honest, prompt, and is able to explain legal issues in layman terms without alienating his client. Mr. Gilman was extremely patient with my 81 year old mother, was professional yet personable, and was a breeze to communicate with. Moreover, Gilman’s fees are very reasonable and it is apparent that he is focused on the betterment of others, not profit. Hands down the best experience I have had in retaining an attorney.
